Join us for a week in Sal, the most consistent island of Cabo Verde for Wind and Waves. It's the closest place to Europe with world class waves and consistent wind for Kitesurfing in the
winter months - and a great place to work on your waveriding skills no matter where you're at with that.
There couldn't be a better escape from winter whilst enjoying a fun and effective learning experience that will have a lasting effect on your kitesurfing skills and pleasure to come. Marc has been holding wave clinics for more than 5 years and has developed a unique and effective method to coach you in order to get your wave riding skills to the next level. There will be a daily theory session in the morning before you go out on the water to put that into practice in the afternoon. This is followed then by a personalised video coaching session to analyze and monitor your progress.
The SAL Wave Clinic packages include:
- different or no accommodation options to choose from
- daily transportation to and from the kite spot of the day
- morning theory session and then practice on the water
- filming of your kite sessions every day
- full video assisted coaching by Marc Ramseier
You will be educated and coached in one of the best spots close to Europe. Sal is famous for its kitesurfing conditions and has been on the kiting map since the beginning of the sport.
The situation in Sal is that there is no hotel right at the kite spot, plus we'll be anyway choosing where to kite depending on the conditions of the day. Therefore the best way is to stay in Santa Maria and do daily trips to the beach from there.
Organisation
If you already have accommodation or prefer to stay at a particular place you can do that and join us for morning theory lesson and evening video coaching, while
coming with us to the beach of course.
We are well connected on the island to be able to accommodate you in apartments in town that we'll rent. The other option is that our partner and UK's biggest kite travel operator can get you
good deals on higher end hotel or apartment options that will make the trip memorable also from that perspective.
What everybody will need is transportation as it makes sence to organise that together. We'll be renting a truck or two and use some additional transport services if needed, certainly making it cheaper than organising this individually.

Accommodation options
Hotel Porto Antigo (studios and apartments)
The place is named after the old fishing harbour that it's built around. The hotel consists of 140 units which are spread over different two story buildings. It also offers a welcome area, the "Papayas" restaurant and a bar. In the well maintained outside area there is a sweet water swimming pool and sun deck.
Studios: The simply arranged studios consist of a combined sleeping and living area with a convertible bed, kitchenette, bathroom, rental safe, satellite TV, AC and balcony or terrace. It can also be booked with lateral sea views. Maximum occupancy: 2 adults. PRICE: 450€ per week
Apartments: They have the same level of interior like the studios but additionally have an extra bedroom. On choice they can be booked with lateral or direct sea views. Maximum occupancy: 2 adults. PRICE: 760€ per week
Housekeeping daily, changing of towels and sheets twice a week.
Catering: Breakfast is included. For lunch and dinner you can either cater for yourself in your apartment, eat at the hotel own restaurant or at one of the many restaurants closeby in
town.
Bazamore Residence Hotel Morabeza
The best hotel in town offers apartments to rent that are across the street from the entry into the hotel. There are two
bedroom apartments available that cost 800€ per room for the week (7 nights).

Bedroom in shared, self-catered apartment
There is a limited possibility to also stay in an apartment close-by, either in a single or shared occupancy bedroom.
Surf Initiation Camp
REQUIRED LEVEL OF KITING: you need to be a confident kiter, relaunch, going upwind, water/beach start on a twintip, no surfboard skills required, good to have been on one before.
The main subject is to get you going on a surfboard, learn the proper techniques from scratch, improve from there and go through some basic waveriding techniques.

Language:
The clinic will be in English, but Marc is also fluent in German, French and Spanish
and can make sure everybody understands the content of the clinic.
Videocoaching:
You will be filmed every day to put this together for daily video feedback
session.
Weather conditions:
Please note that we have done everything in order to maximize the chances
to catch the best conditions for you. However we are not in control of the weather and there will be no refunds due to lack of wind. We'll be able to adapt in such case and emphasize more on
land-based instructions to make sure it's still a great value to you, even though we can't practice to the extent we''ve hoped for.
