The Oum Lamboiur wave spot is a great wave for kitesurfing and situated right at the Westpoint Hotel where we're going to stay in Dakhla.
The wave is moderate, mainly 1-2 Meter tall and peeling along the point the hotel is situated on - and then running into an open sandy bay that allows for safe and
easy wave riding conditions.
It's an great setup to run a Kitesurf Wave Clinic at - ideal for you to get coached getting your kitesurf wave riding to the next level. This is why Marc is holding a
clinic there for the first time this year!
Join Marc end of March for an intensive wave coaching in the south of Marocco.
We'll be staying at the Westpoint Hotel directly at the spot. This is also where the GKA Kite World Tour stops every year to hold one of their wave events.
It's super convenient to stay right at the spot, the hotel providing all the services you're looking for. We'll have three meals a day there plus there, plus there's a Bar for cheering on the action of the day..!!
End of March is an ideal time of the year as the winds are becoming more consistent moving into the windier time of summer, however there is still some north atlantic swell activity to deliver the goods.
It may happen that there are some lighter wind days on which the winds are not really strong enough on the ocean side. If that's the case we'll be heading to the lagoon where the winds usually are stronger. Marc will have enough exercises to practice on that will make a flat water day a very useful thing to do as well..;)
Kite sizes:
You will mainly need 9-12m2 (girls 7-10), always good to have one size smaller as well in case it's cranking.
Wetsuit:
You may be ok with a shorty, but i make sure to bring a 2/3mm spring suit just to be on the safe side.
REQUIRED LEVEL OF KITING: You need to be fairly comfortable riding a surfboard, and competent enough to safely get in and out of the water and riding upwind no problem. Some experiences with waves is good to have.
The main subject is to work on your wave riding skills, understand and get to apply the individual aspects of it, learn to put it all back together and adapt your riding to different conditions and locations.

The cost for the complete one-week package including six day coaching is: € 2250
That includes:
- full-board at Westpoint Hotel in shared room
- all airport

- six days full coaching with daily theory lessons
- coaching support on the beach and in the water

You will be booking your flights to Dakhla by yourself depending from where you are flying out of.
There are no straight flights to Dakhla Airport (VIL). Royal Air Maroc operates 2-3 flights per day from Casablanca from where they offer connections to most European countries.
They carry your kite gear free of charge within the baggage weight allowance.

The clinic will be held in English, however Marc is also fluent in German, French and Spanish and
can make sure everybody understands the content of the clinic.
Weather conditions:
Please note that we have done everything in order to maximize the chances to catch the best
conditions for you. However we are not in control of the weather and there will be no refunds due to lack of wind. We'll be, in such case, able to adapt and more emphasize on land-based
instructions, making sure you do go home with an increased knowledge how to improve your riding.
